Charles W. Brooks, Jr.

For businesses and individuals desiring to start or acquire a new business it means helping the client avoid costly problems now and in the future through proactive and innovative planning.

For individuals or companies with existing legal problems, it means analyzing the issues, solutions and possible outcomes to fully apprise the client of the situation, not just tell the client what they want to hear so we can “get the case.” Only with such an exhaustive analysis and approach can the client fully decide what course to pursue. With the course selected, it means aggressively fighting for the clients goals and attaining the best outcome.

Charles W. Brooks Jr. has over 25 years of experience in private practice engaged exclusively in civil trial practice and business law. Mr. Brooks’ trial practice includes commercial litigation involving contract disputes, employment law matters, non-compete provision enforcement and defense and real estate matters. His business law practice has included extensive work regarding lease and contract preparation and review; bankruptcy practice representing both creditors and commercial debtors; business formation and assisting businesses in franchising their concepts.

In addition Mr. Brooks has 10 years of experience as in-house counsel for a multi-state chain of carry-out and delivery pizza restaurants and two companies who owned and operated hospitals in multiple states. His work included all aspects of business including employment claims; franchise law compliance; contract and lease drafting and review; litigation; acquisitions; financing; state and federal regulatory; Medicare and Medicaid filings; supervision of accounts receivable collections; litigation supervision; staff and supplier matters and supervision of outside counsel.
